Blogging To Give Wings To Your Thoughts In 3 Easy Steps
3 Steps to writing a blog.
A blog is a written piece of information. It may be an opinion, research work or expertise about something. When this information is published online on a website or blogging platforms, it is called a blog. You can write blog articles with information that is gathered through your own knowledge, experience, conducting a survey/poll, research journals, or marketing activities, etc. For example, I have written a blog article on “Online Teaching in Covid-19 Times”. You can view this blog by clicking on the following link https://gyangunacademy.com/online-teaching-in-covid-19-times/
You can blog for free on websites such as Blogspot.com. However, in that case, you do not have a copyright of the article published by you. Also, you will not be taken seriously. In order for you to share this information online, you need to register your blog/website with a domain name and acquire a hosting space. This essentially requires you to follow 3 basic steps:
- Get a Domain Name: Domain name is the name or brand of your website. This will help you to get a presence on the internet or worldwide web (www). It is like the address of your house. For example: My domain name is https://gyangunacademy.com/
You can get domain names from popular web hosting companies/providers such as GoDaddy and BlueHost. You can compare the features of both these providers and decide which is the best one for you. Since BlueHost gives you domain name registration free for the first year and has better features, it is preferable to go for BlueHost.
You can get a domain name with BlueHost by clicking on the link www.bluehost.com/track/ashoks/ Pick up the right name which suits your business and is relevant to your website/blog. The name should be unique and simple, yet catchy.
- Get Hosting Space: It is an online storage space by which your website can run, visitors can access and read your blogs.
You can choose to purchase both the domain name and hosting space from a single provider. Or, you can opt to purchase the domain name from one provider and hosting space from another provider.
- Set up themes/templates: The theme should suit your industry and special requirements. Example: If you plan to write a travel blog, the theme should allow you to post articles and images relating to tourism. However, if you are writing a blog on counselling, you may need to have a different theme catering to resolving issues faced by clients.
You can always tweak and adjust the features of the theme to suit your specific requirements. In fact, BlueHost gives the WordPress theme for free. WordPress themes are the most popular themes.
